KAUFMAN ISD SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
The Kaufman Independent School District established the Kaufman ISD Scholarship Foundation in August 1999 with a gift from Bob and Marla Gail Dean to endow the Marla Gail Dean Scholarship. Returns on this investment, as well as other donations since then, are used by the Foundation to provide college scholarships to KISD seniors. Since only the interest income earned from donations is spent on scholarships, gifts to the foundation will continue to provide funds to Kaufman ISD graduates now and into the future.
Every spring scholarships are awarded to KISD seniors from various individuals and companies. The foundation only enhances the opportunity for every senior who has a desire to attend college to make that dream a reality. It is the long-term goal of the KISD Scholarship Foundation that every graduating senior receives a scholarship to start them out in their college career.
Scholarships currently funded through donations to the foundation include:

- James and Donna Beth Thompson Scholarship
- Dr. Bobbie Morrow Dietrich Scholarship
- Tinnin Sisters Scholarship
- Robert Wisdom Music Scholarship
- Jimmy Phillips/Lions Club Memorial Scholarship
- Coca Cola Bottling Company of North Texas Scholarship
- Lockerd Foundation Scholarship
- Dr. Bruce Wood Scholarship
- Kathy Covington Scholarship
- KISD General Fund Scholarship
- KISD Teacher Grants
Donations of $10,000 or more to the KISD Scholarship Foundation are recognized with an individual plaque and benefactors are given the opportunity to name their scholarship.
The foundation provides for donations in any amount to be combined with larger ones, giving everyone an opportunity to participate. Gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated and will be included in the General Fund Scholarship.
Donations made in honor or memory of someone are recognized with a card sent to the individual, or the individual's family acknowledging the memorial.

Kaufman ISD has partnered with Squad Locker for some spirit apparel.
The store will remain open throughout the year and will periodically have new items added. At this time, items are geared toward adults and parents, we will be adding more youth stuff as it becomes available, and new car stickers are coming soon.
There is a percentage mark-up on the products and all of the proceeds will go to the Kaufman ISD Scholarship Foundation, so a portion of everything you buy will be invested into the educational future of Kaufman ISD students.
Those of you that are “old school” Kaufman will recognize the Lion from the old gym, and he will be showcased on the store throughout the year.
So, if you are “vintage” K-Town, grab a throw-back and show your spirit: We are many voices, but only ONE pride.
