Child Find

Kaufman ISD has an obligation to identify, locate and evaluate each child, birth to age 21, residing within the jurisdiction of the district who has a disability or is suspected of having a disability and who is in need of special education and related services.

A referral for a special education evaluation may be initiated by school personnel, a student’s parents or legal guardian, or another person involved in the education or care of the student.
