2024 KAUFMAN ISD BOND UPDATE

In 2024, Kaufman voters decided to invest in their local school district by passing the KISD Bond 2024.

Thank you to the voters of Kaufman ISD for supporting the 2024 bond. Your approval of this $170 million project represents a significant investment in our schools, our students, and our community. We sincerely thank our Long-Range Planning members who helped us configure and create a plan that addresses the district's most pressing needs and garnered voter approval. This bond will allow us to provide modern, safe, and innovative learning environments that will serve Kaufman ISD students for many years to come.

On behalf of the students, parents, staff, and board of trustees, I thank you for your support and commitment to our schools. Your generosity will have a lasting impact for generations to come.

5. Maintenance Priorities: Improvements to Aging Facilities

Project Status: As part of the 2024 bond program, Kaufman ISD is committed to addressing two critical areas that impact every campus: safety and security and maintenance priorities for aging facilities. Throughout the life of the bond, we will be enhancing safety measures by installing or upgrading access control and security alarm systems, adding and improving security vestibules, strengthening perimeter fencing, applying intrusion-resistant window film, and replacing or adding cameras with the latest technology. In addition, we will be making district-wide improvements to our aging facilities, including upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as site and building exterior improvements. These ongoing projects are designed to ensure our schools remain safe, secure, and well-maintained for students, staff, and the community.
